life

definition: the animate existence or period of animate existence of an individual.

Interesting huh? Life is so fragile, I know I know you have all heard that a MILLION times, but it is so true! Sometimes when life has a new road for you to go down it may be intimidating but it should be taken as an adventure and ready to explore with eyes or amazement.

When Jim and I got our orders to Wisconsin we were so thrilled to be able to go down another road in life together and see what all God had planned for us.  I will admit I was thrilled BUT I was really nervous at the same time.  Me personally, I have never been that far away from my family and I knew that I would be leaving all my great friends behind.  Everyone told me, and still are, that I have a great personality and will find friends quickly but geez the nerves just got worse!  After all is said in done...we found us a GREAT place to live, I am starting school for dental hygiene, and the boys are going to start school to meet new little buddies.  Now that is exciting!!

I know that it is really cliche to say that everything will be okay, but really it will be.

((Just a little food for thought))

happy. giggly. thankful...

little boys! We got to spend Father's day with Daddy!! Yay.  We had a fantastic day.  The boys got Jim some really neat glasses and a bottle opener.  It was a really nice day and we all just had a great time! We went to my FIL's (Father in laws) house for Father's day and boy did the boys have fun! It was such a great hang out and of course I took some pictures of the two little loves for everyone to see.  Jim's dad gets so excited to clean off dirty kids faces so here you go on snapping some pictures of that! Shepherd in one picture looks like he is begging to be able to breathe a little bit.

On the other hand when we were outside they brought out a HUGE ball, the kind you roll inside, and Drew totally flipped out.  Maybe it was the fact that I was chasing them around in it and screaming! I guess I didn't get nominated for Mother of the Year yesterday at least!!! We had a blast and of course our kids were just rolling around laughing and picking on each other but hey IT WAS FABULOUS!

Ending note: Thank you to all the dad's out there that take the time to spend with your kids.  I especially would like to say I love you to my dad.  He is such a great and Godly man and what a great example he has shown me.  And also to my brillant husband that has just totally taken to fatherhood!!!

Oh Shep, Sheppy, Sheppy Dep, Shepherd...

what am I going to do with you?? You have such a calm spirit about you but lately you have been just so vocal that I have no idea what tomorrow will bring.  You open your sweet mouth and just let out the loudest scream and my ears try to run for cover but it is to late.  You want to do everything your brother does but let's get real here...you are one and he is three.  I don't need you to climb on the bed and jump on it, which your brother is not suppose to, and I surely don't need you to play with the dog food and throw it all over the floor. Oh little guy let's go back to the way it use to be...Oh wait it is only going to get better!! ha!

Yee-Haw! It's a Birthday shin dig!

My niece turned 5 this past weekend and we were so glad that we could make it to her partay this year! She is in love with horses so she naturally had a 'horse' themed party and boy was it fun!  My MIL (Mother In Law) made the outfits for her and her sister and they turned out ADORABLE! The cake that you see I made and it literally took me about 4 hours to get everything the way that I would like them.  The cake itself is a 16 inch with two layers and the horse on top I molded myself with gum paste and that was fun.  Honestly the mold looked like a hippo before I was done.

Shep and DrewB had so much fun riding the horses.  DrewB had no problem at all but Shep on the other hand had fun until the horse kicked me in the knee.  Hey I heard that laugh, ha! My knee is fine but it scared Shep to the point that he wanted off of the horse.  Aw the memories I will have during this time in my life!

Anyways HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY again to my beautiful niece and thank you for such a great day!!

laughing, loving, and personality!

Today was a long day from about 4-7pm.  We all went to garage sales with my MIL and we had a blast! Drew had such a fabulous day today that I am crossing my fingers for the same tomorrow but WHO KNOWS?!  Shepherd on the other hand has discovered his vocal range and boy can he squeal!  Honestly I do believe that I have a baby dino sitting in the back seat some days for how loud he gets! Anyways we went to garage sales and found great deals and I also had a girl as me if she could take a picture of my license plate since she does that as a hobby.  Strange huh? I can honestly say that I have never been asked that at all but it does sound a little cool to do.  My two boys have just blossomed so much and I can't believe that they are the age they are at this point.  I will never have 'little' babies but I better get all my cuddle time in before these days end.

Tonight was so sweet and sad at the same time when DrewB wrapped his little arms around me and asked me if we could go home! I just kissed him and told him very soon.  Aw I love that little guy!

need I say more?

So today my MIL (Mother in law) gave me a picture of her when she was young and boy did my eyes pop open in amazement.  When I was looking at the picture I automatically thought that Shepherd has finally met his match!  They look like twinkies!  I know that everyone knows where Drew got his looks but unfortunantly my mother informed me the other day on facebook that he may look like his dad BUT he is his momma on the inside.  Boy that was NOT what I wanted to hear!  We are defiantly in trouble now, ha!  I love it that Drewbee favors his dadday (Drew's termonology) but I was hopeing for ONE to look like me! After seeing Sue's picture though all hands down that is her baby.  I rather them have my looks more then my attitude that is for certain.  I am for sure going to have a hard road to hoe if they both have me on the inside.  I know Drewbee does but Shepherd is more laid back, well he was up to 3 weeks ago when he found his throw a fit voice.  I sure do love my life even though I have breakdowns, cry, and even want to scream at some point in the day.  AW THAT IS LIFE!

By the way:

Drew is now 39 months and he is speaking in full sentences.  Haven't gotten all his language down but he is convinced that we understands what he says.  He is all boy and into EVERYTHING.  Lately he honestly believes that his 'fake cries' can get him somewhere and he tries really hard to convince you that he is really upset.  He is in love with freezy pops and lately sponge bob and buzz.  When he gets mad he whispers under his breath 'buzz to the rescue' and he loves to wrap his little arms around your neck and tell you that he uOva (loves) you.

Shepherd is now 15 months old and learning to be very vocal with what he thinks is the way things should go.  When Drew takes a toy away from him he screams and his whole body shakes.  He loves to get on his brothers nerves and when he sees that Drew is getting upset he just smiles.  He has learned how to go down stairs on his own and he loves freezy pops as well.  He says Momma, Dada, and uhh.  He does little sounds every now and then but he can't really get a word in because of the three year old.

Star

Two sleepy boys= Happy Momma! This morning was pretty smooth till we left to go to the store and Drew had a breakdown but that is okay he is entitled to one a day at least, but not 15 of them.  My poor little man is having such a hard time at this age, I am sure he is getting on his own nerves more than mine (giggle).  I love the mornings where we wake up and he kisses me and tells me good morning and I really love at night when he tells me goodnight.  Lately when he lays down he wants Jim or me to sing to him, his most requested song is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.  It is just too cute, instead of the word little he wants JIm or me to add in Momma, Daddy, Shepherd, Drewbee Star! Try that a few times and you would get out of breath also!  Drew has such a sweet and gentle heart, and he does get his feelings hurt easily.  I love him no matter what and he is a bright shining star in my eyes!

So when you think of the song Twinkle Twinkle try putting in a few names because it really does sound sweet!

Crazy..You calling me crazy?!

Today, oh my word what a day, I had to take Shepherd to the doctors since he is sick and I thought I was in a crazy room.  I had my one year old sitting on the floor screaming because he didn't feel good and then I had my three year old acting like a maniac.  After sitting for about 30 minutes I couldn't take it anymore so I went to the desk and told them to scratch our name off because I had to get them home and take a nap.  Oh it gets better!! We get back home and Shepherd took a nap right away and do you honestly believe that Drew took one?? Absolutely not! I layed with him for about 40 minutes and he just wouldn't get the hint so off to see grandma we go. (To update you we are staying with my mother in laws till our home is ready) From this point I got fake cries and tantrums and boy was I finished for the day. I love my Drewbee but he totally tuckers me out by 3! From this point I am not only being driven nuts but I am actually convincing myself that I am. HA! I long for days that start late and end early and as my kids are getting older I find that they hate the horizontal position. Please Drew and Shepherd let's do what you are told...bahahahaha like that will happen!  Sweet dreams everyone! Trust me there will be more tomorrow!!
It just keeps getting better and better.

Ever Wonder...

Wish pictures could speak of the true personality of kiddos!

what your kids are thinking? I think today alone I got around 150 looks from my two boys telling me that I was out of my mind and I needed to chill out. HA! If they only knew how I felt!! My boys are two awesome kids! (I know everyone says that right?!) But it is so true with these two! Drew is only 3 and gets bored senseless that I think he finds whining all the time as a game to see how many reactions he can get from me. Then there is Shepherd who is only one and lately he just follows suit with whatever his brother is doing. The word that always comes to my mind during the day is circus as I am humming the, Do Do DoOoOooo Do Do Do Do, when the clowns come out for the show. My heart totally beats for my boys.

Before they went to bed tonight Drew was throwing legos at his brother, Shepherd got up and picked up a ball that was gushy and lite up inside and threw it at Drew. Drew is totally terrified of this ball and started to run and scream, Shepherd on the other hand laughed and went back to doing what he was doing before. Gotta love every bit of humor you can find everyday!
